These are the standard folding pedals we provide with all our eBikes. We also use these folding pedals on our mountain bikes. They are robust enough for most applications. You are better off using fixed pedals for extreme mountain biking.

Folding pedals make it so much easier to;

• store bikes close together 
• load onto a bike carrier without having to worry about which way the pedals and cranks are lined up
• reduce the incidence of shin grazing when pushing a bike
